Haiku Workshop

It was an introductory activity for a Haiku Workshop we did during Saint George's Day.
After searching on the web for information about Haiku-poems, each student had to write and illustrate his own Haiku-poem.
The result was amazing!

PODCASTING (AUDACITY)

We created a podcasting activity based on Christmas Carols using Audacity.

It was very interesting, though we experienced some problems when trying to match voice and music. I will definitely experiment with this a bit further, as I'm sure students will love it.

Here is the result. Needless to say I'm an awful singer ;)

This is my favourite place in town




It is - surprisingly enough!- in Sabadell, C/ Sant Joan, 35.
It is a wonderful café-restaurant placed in a language school, the Alliance Française-Casa Taulé, an art nouveau building that hosts art exhibitions, poetry readings and concerts, amonsgt many other activities.
The patio is just delicious.
I strongly recommend you to check it while enjoying a cup of tea or an amazing paella (served on Thursdays).

Watch this video about the vision of students today.
We are going to discuss it in class. What do you think about it? Do you agree with this vision?
After the discussion we are going to work in pairs.
The activity we are going to do is a survey on education. The aim is to compare your parents' education with yours. Education in the past and education nowadays.
Write ten questions about education based on your impressions about the video.
These questions are addressed to your parents but also to your partner.
Discuss your answers with your partner and write a short text about students in the past and students today.
